Last Thursday 6th April, Oxford International College was transformed into a bustling cafe as students and staff were treated to an array of sweet treats baked by the students for the Charity Club’s bake-sale. Students had baked up brownies, cinnamon buns, cookies, cheesecake and much more, making it a real challenge to decide which to choose. Many members of staff simply couldn’t decide from all of the tempting offerings and ended up taking a full plate of everything! The bake sale was inspired by the Documentary Society screening of ‘White Helmets’, the Academy Award winning documentary spreading awareness of the life-saving work that the White Helmets are doing across Syria. The bake-sale was supported by many of the students who baked cakes and ran the stall throughout the day, and over £170 was raised. Well done everybody!
