Today we welcomed a special guest speaker addressing students at Oxford International College who are interested in pursuing a course in Economics, Finance, Business, International Relations and Banking. Third year BSc student Nikita Khadkov is studying Economics at the University of Warwick. A former student of Yasmin Sarwar’s, Nikita was born and raised in Saratov, Russia and graduated A-levels with A*A*A A in 2015. Nikita was recognised as one of ‘100 Ones-to-Watch’ UK students in the undergraduate class for 2018, which is UK’s only peer-nominated talent spotting scheme. His extracurricular activities include being a co-founded Warwick Finance Lab which focuses on providing technical financial training, networking and case-studies helping students to get the desired job in Investment Banking and Private Equity. Nikita is also an official Warwick University Ambassador and fresher’s mentor.
Interesting fact about Nikita: he likes camping and climbing and completed the Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award. During an exchange program in Beijing in 2016, he camped for two days on a ruined part section of the Great Wall and travelled around Mainland China for a week where he also climbed Huangshan mountain. Recently, Nikita completed a ‘Three Peaks Challenge’ – climbing the three highest UK mountain peaks in 24 hours and 20 minutes, raising £460 for Meningitis Research Foundation.
