OIC Student receives ISA award for best sixth former

OIC student is presented his award for best sixth former by Lord Lexden at House of Lords

On the 16th of October Lord Lexden greeted Abhiram Sasitharan; the first ever recipient of the ISA Lexden award for best sixth former and one of OIC’s promising A-Level students; at The House of Lords. During a tour of the House of Lords, Abhiram and his guests; OIC House Parent, Matthew Storey and OIC Chief Education Officer, Yasmin Sarwar; were told of the rich history of the building where later the award would be presented. They were also granted the honour of viewing an assembly where the Lords debate various issues.

Abhiram was presented the ISA Lexden award for best sixth former by Lord Lexden himself during a ceremony later that day in the House of Lords. This was followed by photos and then high tea with Lord Lexden, giving Abhiram the opportunity to discuss his ambitions and hopes for the future and to speak informally with Lord Lexden.

A wonderful day was had by all to mark a very proud moment for Abhiram and for us all here at OIC.

Well done, Abhiram!
