OIC Counsellor leads AS PSHE Session

OIC Counsellor, Meryl Suissa, leads PSHE session on gender and consent for AS students

On Wednesday 31st of October, AS students at OIC were split into 2 groups and given PSHE sessions on gender and consent. This session was all the more timely in light of last years #metoo media coverage. Students were tasked, in small groups, with defining consent and then given a quiz about statistics of sexual harassment and gender issues taken from UK university studies.

Each group was given case studies, to read and discuss within the session, and the response was incredibly positive. Students were engaged and asked lots of questions about this important subject.
