OIC students take part in UKMT Senior Team Mathematics Challenge

Four OIC A2 students shine at prestigious nationwide maths competition

The Further Mathematics Support Programme in partnership with the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) organises the Senior Team Mathematics Challenge every year. The competition is for students in years 11, 12 and 13. Teams are tested on mathematical, communication and teamwork skills and the challenge is sponsored by Rolls-Royce plc.

Our team of mathematics superstars took part in a regional heat and scored an extremely impressive 168 out of 182 after three gruelling rounds. Unfortunately, there was another team who did even better than us on this occasion which put us in a very commendable second place. This is a fantastic achievement and we are very proud of our representatives.

Well done to the team!
