Spotlight on: Vicky Huggett

Today we shine the spotlight on OIC Super Curricular Manager, Vicky Huggett.

Here at Oxford International College we pride ourselves on enabling bright and ambitious students achieve their potential and go on to attend world class universities, both here in the UK and around the world. Our students are very much the stars, but behind their success is the hard work and dedication of a team of Tutors and Staff that help make realising their dreams possible.

Vicky joined OIC in November of 2017 and spends her time here ensuring that the students have a robust schedule of super-curricular activities which complement their studies. She organises activities such as Young Enterprise, Duke of Edinburgh Award, Debating and Coding as well as managing admissions test preparation, bridging classes and university application preparation and assistance.

A local girl, Vicky attended Headington Girls School before leaving Oxford to complete her degree in Music at Birmingham University. Vicky is a keen singer with her sights set on a career in Opera one day. In pursuit of this dream Vicky was a member of her university choir and Birmingham Women’s Choir whilst studying. Before that she was also a member of the National Children’s Choir of Great Britain, Senior Choir, for 6 years. A highlight of her time in the choir was touring Spain and Italy where she was honoured to perform in Saint Mark’s Basilica. In addition to her commitment to choral singing Vicky was also an enthusiastic member of The University of Birmingham’s Gilbert and Sullivan Society where she performed in several operas, including the famous Pirates of Penzance.

Vicky’s biggest fans and strongest supporters in her quest to Operatic fame are her 2 cats Tawny and Toots, who take up much of her time when she is not working and singing.
