The school is due to open in 2012 and the campus will offer excellent learning and sports facilities, a range of high quality, secure on-campus accommodation and provides an abundance of green spaces for recreation.
Chengdu City
Located in south-west China, Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan province - home of the Giant Pandas. The city was built on the fertile Chengdu plain, 'Tian fu zhi guo' in Chinese, literally meaning 'the Land of Abundance'. Chengdu has many places of interest and is famous for its traditional arts and crafts, ethnic folklore, and beautiful landscapes. According to China Daily, it is the 4th most liveable city in China today and is one of the most important economic, transportation and communication hubs in West China.
Tianjin City
Referred to as ‘Jin’ for short and meaning ‘a port for the Emperor’, Tianjin is one of the four municipalities under direct administration of the central government of China. The city is well known for its historical and cultural heritage, striking European-style architecture, grand buildings and mansions, lively antiques markets and ancient temples. Popular destinations include the Tianjin Radio & TV Tower - the third tallest structure in the world – and the Great Wall of China at Huangya Pass. Today Tianjin is a vast modern city with an international port and is the economic centre for the north-east of China. The prosperity of Tianjin is closely linked to the nearby capital, Beijing.
