GCSE and IGCSE

The GCSE is the national qualification taken prior to A-levels, usually over a course of two years. The IGCSE is the internationally recognised equivalent and is transferable between countries, allowing foreign students to continue their home country education in the UK.

Depending on individual needs and circumstances, and usually taken over two years, these bespoke programmes consist of between 15 to 25 hours of tuition per week and are taught in mini groups with some individual tuition, or individual tuition only. The amount of tuition required is determined by the student's academic background, target grades and English language proficiency (for non-native English speakers). Most students begin their studies at the start of the academic year in September, however the flexibility of the tutorial system means that students can join us for a programme of individual tuition at any time during the year by arrangement. For the list of subjects available for mini-group and individual tuition please apply to the college.
