Intensive Courses

Our standard A-level and GCSE courses have been carefully designed to meet the needs of most students; however, we also offer intensive programmes for those who require additional support. For instance:

	students who have experienced disruptions or difficulties in their education and need to make up lost ground
	students beginning the course later in the academic year
	students wishing to complete the course in less than the usual time
	overseas students who have a weaker background in the subjects they wish to study.

Our intensive A-level and GCSE programmes include:

	A total of 36-40 hours of timetabled study per week
	16 hours of individual tuition per week, or 25 hours of mini-group tuition (max 3 to a class)
	12-24 hours per week of time-tabled independent study set by the tutors (exam questions, essays, project work and written tests) carried out in our invigilated study room
	Regular written assessments to monitor progress
	Written reports sent to parents/guardians twice each term (6 times a year)
Students may begin with an intensive programme in the first year and switch to a standard programme in the second.
