Dr Williamson was educated at University College , Oxford . Since 1968 he has been a university lecturer in Physics and a fellow of St Cross College, Oxford , since 1970. His research has been concerned with various aspects of Atmospheric Physics, and he is currently Chairman of Physics Finals Examiners at Oxford University .
