OIC has given me more than just a brilliant education. The endless support and encouragement from the staff and tutors that I have received is worth more than any amount of money. I have become a confident, independent learner which is something that I never believed I could be before I became a student at OIC. I have been accepted by SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies, London) and Oxford Brookes University to study Law in September 2005.

After doing a year in Medicine at university in London , I realized that my course wasn't right for me. I decided to re-apply to study Law and wanted to improve my A-level grades so that I could get into a good institution. Coming to OIC was definitely the best decision; the tutors were excellent and the college was very caring, encouraging and supportive. Not only did I improve my A-level grades, I also did a new AS-level in French which was challenging and enjoyable. I'm glad I came here.

OIC was without a doubt the place for me. Last September, I was 'lost'. I was most disappointed with my results last August. I found OIC and instantly I knew that it was for me. In six months, the tutors taught me two full A-levels. Now I feel so confident about Physics and Chemistry. I shall not forget my experience here. I would recommend OIC to anyone and everyone!

After studying for a year at my previous school, I obtained a B and 3 D's at AS level. I am hoping to study Medicine at university, so I need excellent grades. Within my first term at OIC I already brought up two of the D's to B's. In June I managed to get ABB at AS. The ideal nature of one-to-one tuition or teaching in small groups means students are not intimidated to ask a question which they would want to ask in a larger classroom situation.
Having spent two years in Oxford , not only can I say that I got a good education from Oxford International College , I also had a fantastic time as well. You are not confined to just working, as the options for activities are also there. Personally, I furthered my Badminton to such a level that I was playing in the local Oxford league! Confession though, we didn't do that well!
Overall, coming to OIC was the best decision I ever made.

At my previous school I didn't achieve my predicted grades at A2 for my chosen degree course, and heard very positive things about tutorial colleges. I felt it would help being taught on a one-to-one basis and OIC has definitely given me more confidence in myself and in my academic career. Living away from home has really helped me in preparing for university. Given the choice of individual tuition with Oxford tutors or school I would definitely do this again.

Due to extenuating circumstances I was unable to reach my full potential in my A-Levels, so decided to improve my grades at OIC. Thanks to some excellent teaching and the support of all the staff, I have managed to secure a place at university to study Veterinary Science, starting in October. I have gained a lot of confidence over the last academic year, and have even had the chance to study A2 Biology independently, which has also been a valuable experience. I'm glad that I made the decision to come to OIC. This has given me the chance to persue my dream of becoming a vet! Thanks once again to everyone at OIC.

Compared to a year ago, I feel a lot better about myself and my studies because of coming to OIC. I feel I can now show what I'm capable of academically. I'm so glad that my parents helped me and supported me by giving me a chance to re-do some of my A-level modules in January 2006. Since September I've learned to start to manage my revision early, and now realise how important this is. When I was at school I did no work, and at OIC with one-to-one tuition I got back on track. I completed my UCAS application in time, doing thorough revision and made good friends. I wouldn't have been able to manage without my tutors' and family's supervision and encouragement. I'm going off travelling the world now and will be back in September to start university!
