School holidays
account for up to 30 per cent of the calendar year. It is a fact
of life, therefore, that many students who wish to achieve top
grades in public exams need to maintain some level of academic
work during their school holidays.
Students can attend up to three short revision courses during
the school holidays for GCSE, A-level and the International Baccalaureate,
as shown below:
Easter Revision: one, two or three weeks of intensive revision in March/April to prepare students for public exams in May/June
Christmas Revision: one week in December and one week in January
to prepare students for public exams in January, or for general
revision.
Summer School: one to three weeks in August to help students
gain a head start for the following school year, or to remedy
any problems from the previous year.
