Supercurricular Day 2021

On Tuesday 31st August, the academic year is kicked off in style by welcoming Year 11 and 12 students to the Supercurricular Day at Oxford Town Hall, a Grade II listed building reflecting the grandeur and history of the city.
Our students were introduced to the Supercurricular Department through a series of seminars. They discovered the plethora of programmes, awards, and competitions that they would have the opportunity to participate in during their journey to the top universities through OIC. Students were presented to the active Clubs and Societies in the afternoon, starting with a star-studded show put together by the OIC Glee Club, headed by Seoyoung and Donald.

A lively Student Fair followed the performance. The Club Presidents promoted their respective clubs to the new cohort and detailed their plans for the upcoming year; from bringing in guest speakers to hosting sports fixtures and participating in inter-school competitions was something to pique everyone’s interest. At the end of a successful day, each club left had gained many new members, all ready and raring to get involved in the range of events scheduled to take place over the coming months.
A special thanks to 2 lovely Year 13 girls from Glee Club, Ingrid and Beatrice, for their presence in taking control of the PA system throughout the day. Their contribution energised the whole event.
