YOUR PATHWAY TO SUCCESS

Every OIC Brighton A-level student follows their own Global Strategic Pathway. Based on Oxford International College’s highly successful model, we’ll map out your entire journey from start to finish. This creates a tailored academic and future-focused programme that’s based around your talents and ambitions.

This includes the A-level subjects you choose, which will depend on the degree course you have in mind. Our students typically take four subjects at AS-level, with exams at the end of Year 12. Learners then continue with three or four A-level subjects in Year 13, with final exams in the summer.

Depending on the country you plan to study in, we offer a choice of four routes:
  • UK universities: 3 to 4 A-level subjects; UCAS preparation.
  • US universities: 3 to 4 A-level subjects; ACT/SAT preparation.
  • Universities of Hong Kong or Singapore: 4 A-level subjects; Chinese language.
  • Rest of the world: 4 A-level subjects; native language qualifications if required.

OUR APPROACH TO A-LEVELS

Whichever subjects you choose, you’ll benefit from exceptional teaching in dynamic but focused classes. All our teachers are leaders in their subject field or specialism, who know how to inspire, motivate, and challenge each student to excel.

Our team will also provide the expert support you need to prepare for exams – and achieve impressive A-level results. You’ll sit weekly Strategic Cumulative Informative Tests (SCITS), which replicate exam conditions, build confidence, and hone important techniques. These tests will also give your teachers an indication of how you’re progressing, as well as any areas for improvement.

THRIVING BEYOND THE CURRICULUM

Our A-level students’ academic studies are enriched by our pioneering Super Curricular programme. This takes our learners beyond the syllabus, giving them an in-depth insight into various career pathways and nurturing the skills they need to succeed in the future.

Through opportunities like The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, the Young Enterprise Competition, internships, work placements, and the Extended Project Qualification, you’ll create a rich portfolio of experiences and qualifications that give you the extra edge when it comes to the competitive university applications process.
