ONE-YEAR GCSE COURSE

On our intensive one-year GCSE course, learners choose up to eight subjects, which are delivered by specialists in small, focused classes. Alongside Maths, English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, you’ll select three additional options that align with your passions and long-term goals. These options are;

  • Additional Mathematics
  • English Literature
  • First Language Mandarin*
  • First Language Russian*
  • History
  • Geography
  • Computer Science
  • Business
  • Psychology

You’ll also sit weekly Strategic Cumulative Informative Tests (SCITS), which will give your teachers a snapshot of how you’re progressing, as well as any areas for improvement. Our one-year GCSE students also take mid- and end-of-term assessments.

A World of Opportunity

TWO-YEAR GCSE PROGRAMME

Students following our traditional two-year programme typically study 10 GCSE subjects. These include Maths (with or without additional Maths), English (both language and literature, or second language), Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. You’ll also pick four options based on your interests, A-level plans, and university ambitions. These options are;

  • First or Second Mandarin
  • First or Second Russian
  • Additional Mathematics*
  • History
  • Geography
  • Computer Science
  • Art
  • Business
  • Psychology

Our Year 10 students sit SCITS every month, while weekly testing takes place in Year 11. This process identifies areas for development and helps us track your progress. It’s also fantastic preparation for your final exams. Our Year 11 students take mid- and end-of-term assessments, too.

THRIVING BEYOND THE CURRICULUM

Our GCSE students’ academic studies are enriched by our pioneering Super curricular programme. This takes our secondary learners beyond the syllabus, giving them an in-depth insight into various career pathways and nurturing the skills they need to succeed in the future.

Through opportunities like The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, the Young Enterprise Competition, and the Higher Project Qualification, you’ll create a rich portfolio of experiences and qualifications that give you the extra edge when it comes to the highly competitive university applications process.
