BOARDING
OIC Brighton is a special place to live and learn. Our aspirational boarding community is like a family, where like-minded young people from around the world support, inspire, and motivate one another to be their very best. With everything in one place, you’ll benefit from a truly immersive experience on our beautiful single-site campus, too. Living with us also means academic support, exciting activities, and friendships are available every single day.
Ainsworth House is a home away from home for our Year 9-11 students, providing the comfort, communal spaces, and 24/7 support they need to thrive. All our boarders live in stylish twin bedrooms with an ensuite bathroom.
Our older students (Years 12-13) live, study, and socialise in Turing House. With a mix of single and twin rooms, Turing House offers flexibility and freedom, a real sense of community, and access to cool, contemporary communal spaces.
Modern, chic, and bursting with natural light, our contemporary bedrooms, common spaces, and study areas have everything our students need to feel at home.
Our campus is perfectly positioned to make the most of everything Brighton, the south coast, and the countryside has to offer.
Weekends are made for fun, whether it’s immersing yourself in the buzz of The Lanes in Brighton, having a go at paddle boarding or kayaking, or hiking across the South Downs.
A variety of day trips – whether it’s to London, an exhibition, or theme park – will enrich your boarding experience, too.

We understand that living and studying away from home can be difficult, which is why you’ll be supported by a team of experts, including your Strategy Tutor, our Boarding House Team, and Counsellor. Our OICB ROCKS ‘five ways to wellbeing’ programme promotes positive emotional and physical health, too. You can also access bespoke support in our dedicated wellbeing centre.
Our boarders enjoy a well-balanced diet, build positive relationships, and can take part in regular activity, all essential elements of a healthy lifestyle. Security is paramount, too, and our campus is an incredibly safe environment staffed around the clock.
Our fees reflect the truly pioneering education we offer at OIC Brighton. Our all-encompassing approach creates a pathway to success for each student, delivering not only the highest academic standards, but also nurturing personal growth and the development of essential future-focused skills.
Our boarders enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day, which they eat together in the college’s communal dining room. Our menu has been carefully crafted with wellbeing and physical health in mind, taking inspiration from different cuisines, and giving students a real home from home experience. This includes a creative lunch menu, which includes two main choices, as well as a street food-style option, sides, and dessert.
Yes, most of our boarders share a room with another student. We do have some single bedrooms at Turing House, but these are limited.
We carefully match our students – based around shared interests and courses – to ensure everyone feels comfortable. If at any stage you’re unhappy, however, please let us know. Just speak to your Boarding House Parent or Strategy Tutor.
Our boarding fees cover your accommodation during term time (including weekends) and enrichment weeks. Our houses are closed during the winter (Christmas), spring (Easter), and summer holidays.
