ONE-YEAR GCSE PROGRAMME

Our fast-track, one-year GCSE programme in Oxford sets our students up for success at A-level. Over the course of a year, our learners study up to eight GCSE subjects and explore potential career pathways through our Supercurricular programme. Taught by specialist tutors, our GCSE courses provide the academic challenge and individualised support our young people need to excel in their exams.

OUR ONE-YEAR GCSE COURSE

At Oxford International College (OIC), we offer a one-year GCSE programme for students joining us in Year 11.

Our fast-track, intensive GCSE curriculum is designed to prepare our learners for the challenge of A-levels. One of the top independent GCSE schools in England, we combine the highest standards of subject teaching with expert individual guidance. This ensures our courses are engaging, stimulating, and interactive.

THE GCSE SUBJECTS YOU'LL STUDY

Following our one-year GCSE programme in Oxford, you’ll study up to eight subjects, which are delivered by specialist tutors in small groups of students.

This includes six core GCSE subjects: maths, additional maths, chemistry, biology, physics, and English (second language). You’ll also have a choice of up to two supplementary subjects. These are: business studies, computer science, psychology, history, geography, and native language (either Chinese or Russian).

All our students also take part in PE and personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) education sessions. We also offer courses in study, research, and teamwork skills.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Oxford International College’s one-year GCSE programme starts in September.
  • Age of entry: 15+.
  • Level of English needed: Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 5.5.
  • Entry assessments: You’ll be asked to sit maths and science assessments, and an online Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT4).
