Jenny
Jenny McWalter - Governor (Education)
Jenny is a senior leader with experience of supporting and challenging schools to sustainably improve. Prior to joining NAE, Jenny held senior roles in Academy Trusts including Deputy Director of Education in EACT and Head of Performance in the David Ross Education Trust. Early into her appointment in both Trusts Jenny’s roles included accurately identifying the quality of provision. This led to a significant number of schools being identified as underperforming with poor value added and progress measures and at risk of entering a category of concern, or not improving on their last inspection outcome, in their next Ofsted inspections. Jenny was Chair or a Member of newly established Academy Improvement Boards in the highest priority schools and part of the process to turn these schools around. Her role included developing strategic school development plans and mobilising support from across and beyond the Trusts. In her current role in NAE she supports the NAE School Improvement and Quality Assurance process that builds the capacity of leaders to drive school improvement based on accurate self-evaluation.
