OUR STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS

Oxford International College (OIC) is a culturally diverse community, which is open to 15 to 19-year-olds of all backgrounds and nationalities.  

We offer a one-year GCSE programme and two-year A-level course, which begin in September, and an 18-month A-level pathway, which starts in January.

As soon as you’re ready, you’ll need to complete our online application form. You’ll also need to pay our £300 application fee. 

After we’ve received your form, we may ask you to provide some additional documents, such as school reports, reference letters, or exam certificates.

Assessments
GCSE 

Students following our one-year GCSE course will be asked to sit maths and science assessments, as well as an online Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT4).  

A-level 

Prospective A-level students will be asked to complete admissions tests in their chosen subjects, plus an online aptitude assessment.  

Successful applicants will then be invited to an in-person or virtual interview.

Offering and confirming your place
Once your assessments and interview have taken place, we’ll formally offer you a place. Offers to non-native English-speaking students are conditional on your International English Language Testing System (IELTS) results. There may also be other conditions attached. 

To confirm your place, you’ll need to pay our deposit by the date specified in the offer letter. You’ll then need to pay our non-refundable registration fee and sign our enrolment contract. 

Joining us from overseas? We’ll send you a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) document, which you’ll need for your visa application.

Pre-arrival information
We’ll send you a pre-arrival guide ahead of your first day, which contains essential information and a useful checklist of things to do before you join. You’ll also receive a detailed Welcome Pack.  

Upon arrival, we’ll give you a student handbook that contains everything you need to know about the college and our city.
