During October's Engineering Enrichment Week, OIC students embarked on an exciting journey into the realms of mechanical and electrical engineering. The adventure began with masterclasses at Imperial College, where second-year mechanical engineering students shared their knowledge and insights, igniting our students' passion for engineering.
Their exploration continued with a visit to the Science Museum, where they not only admired the exhibits but also enjoyed an immersive 3D IMAX cinema experience. Throughout the week, students engaged in building model engines at Keble College, transforming theoretical concepts into tangible skills.
A major highlight was their visit to Oxford University's esteemed engineering department, where they collaborated with local state school students on engineering projects, fostering both skills and connections.
Engineering Enrichment Week went beyond traditional learning, offering a transformative experience that fueled a lasting enthusiasm for engineering. This newfound knowledge and excitement are sure to guide our students as they shape the future of technology and innovation.
It sounds like the October Engineering Enrichment Week was an incredible experience for OIC students!
From masterclasses at Imperial University to hands-on workshops and collaborative projects at Oxford University, they truly immersed themselves in the engineering world. These opportunities to engage directly with complex concepts, build practical skills, and interact with peers and experts must have been so inspiring.
