Making Connections

Working with exponential relationships and power laws, students investigated how mathematical techniques can reveal patterns within data that might otherwise be difficult to interpret. By applying logarithms to linearise non-linear data, they developed a deeper understanding of the underlying mathematical principles and their applications beyond the classroom.

The activity also provided an opportunity for students to communicate their understanding visually, producing work that could be displayed and shared with the wider College community.
