Irina joined OIC in 2024, bringing extensive teaching experience across Romania, the USA, the Middle East, and the UK. She holds a Master’s in Mathematics and a Postgraduate qualification in Computer Science from the University of Bucharest, as well as QTS in the UK and England.
Her academic background includes research on continuous functions and Hamiltonian graphs, and she has completed postgraduate courses with University College London in mentoring mathematics teachers. Irina is passionate about sharing her love of mathematics and science, helping students to approach challenging concepts with confidence and curiosity.
At OIC, she enjoys working with motivated, ambitious learners and supporting them beyond the classroom through additional university sessions. She takes pride in her students’ achievements, including guiding one to a perfect score in the British Intermediate Challenge.
Beyond teaching, Irina enjoys reading, visiting museums, watching art films, swimming, playing piano, and cooking — pursuits that reflect her curiosity and creativity both inside and outside the classroom.
