Halfterm internships and volunteering - February

chemistry-1-256x300
chemistry-1-256x300 For the Enrichment Week, our students have put together an impressive portfolio of internships, work placements, and volunteering opportunities related to their future careers.
Our medics are interning at the University of Oxford Hospitals, the UCL Hospital, and even at the world-famous Great Ormond Street Hospital, gaining experience in fields such as anesthesiology, paediatrics, or gynaecology. Engineers were able to find an engineering companies such as Engineers at Electrical Engineering Firm, SECOM  and Mechanical Engineering at Avazia to gain practical knowledge of their future craft. We also sent interns to Jaguar Land Rover. Our lawyers observe the processes of SMQ Law Firm and attend courts at Oxford Crown Court. Meanwhile, students interested in a business career are learning the trade secrets in hedge funds, investment firms, and Oxford University Business School.  Our volunteers support a variety of causes, including an educational psychology non-profit One-Eighty, which provides psychological therapy for youth at risk. Apart from being an excellent ethical cause, One-Eighty makes sure to utilize our students’ skills in a targeted manner: programmers support the charity’s software infrastructure, while students interested in becoming clinical psychologists will have a chance to observe the therapy and administer it themselves. The students will also attend a variety of talks and guest lectures around Oxford and London.
