Located on St Clements Street, above the OIC Administration Offices, St Clements Boarding consists of 14 contemporary ensuite student rooms together with a further 2 rooms for staff boarding and an open plan kitchen area for socializing.
In a prime location, these spacious rooms and carefully designed layouts provide students with a bright and airy, modern place to stay.
The St Clements Boarding House was a £1.1m investment, 30 week project, overseen by Simon Guest, Director of Estates and Facilities at OIC and project managed by David Lui of TC2 Chartered Surveyors.
The project was not without its challenges: cited in an area of conservation and part of heritage buildings with unlevel walls and floors, rotten flooring, roof requiring urgent repairs including the need for major structural works, the build was a huge undertaking.
The Principal, Kim Terrar, said, “The accommodation looks amazing. I’m grateful to all those involved: the project managing team, the architect, builders, facilities staff and boarding house team for working so hard to get this completed in time for the arrival of our January intake students.”
St Clements Boarding House joins our expanding range of centrally located and purpose-built student accommodation alongside Student Castle, Thames Street, Wavy Gate and Alice House.
