The morning kicked off with engaging presentations from renowned institutions, including Manchester, Imperial, Southampton, and Warwick. Each university took the stage to highlight its distinctive offerings, laying the foundation for an enlightening day.
As the day progressed, participants had the privilege of attending intimate breakout sessions led by UCL, Warwick, and Imperial. These smaller group discussions allowed for a personalised exploration of personal statements and interdisciplinary learning, facilitating a deeper comprehension of the diverse academic landscapes presented.
The afternoon elevated the event to new heights as representatives from 18 different universities graced the occasion. The Fair boasted a mix of prestigious Russell Group universities and other distinguished institutions, such as the University of Bristol, Sheffield, Glasgow, Birmingham, Leeds, Surrey, St George’s University London, and St George’s Grenada,—a noteworthy medical school situated on the Caribbean island of Grenada.
Reflecting on the day, Jinhao from Year 12 shared, "It’s been great to witness the wide variety of universities represented today, and the presentations offering insight into university life were particularly interesting. There are many different factors to consider when applying to university, and this experience has given me a better idea of what courses and universities might be a good fit for me."
