We are proud to extend our warmest congratulations to all finalists and winners of the 2025 SACPA Safeguarding Awards.
Although we did not take home the award this year, being named a finalist for the International Safeguarding Award stands as an incredible achievement and a powerful recognition of our college’s continued commitment to excellence in child protection and wellbeing.

We are honoured to have been shortlisted alongside Liverpool Football Club and Shreya Vijayan Nair, two outstanding examples of safeguarding leadership and innovation.

“To be recognised among such inspiring organisations and professionals is something we are deeply proud of,” said Vice Principal Severine Collins. “Safeguarding sits at the very heart of every decision we make at OIC — from our pastoral care systems to our classroom culture. This recognition reaffirms that commitment.”

At Oxford International College, safeguarding is more than a policy — it’s a principle that shapes everything we do. From supporting students’ mental health to creating safer digital learning environments, our goal remains clear: to ensure every student feels safe, valued, and empowered to achieve their potential.

“We are immensely proud of our community,” added Principal, Dr Watson. “This recognition reflects the collective effort of our staff, students, and safeguarding team, who make OIC a place where wellbeing and excellence go hand in hand.”

OIC congratulates all 2025 finalists and winners for their exceptional contributions to the field of safeguarding and child protection — and looks forward to continuing its mission of fostering a culture of care, trust, and excellence in education.
