At Oxford International College, our Year 13 students are taking the next step towards leading universities in the UK and worldwide. I’m so happy for Ken as he takes this exciting next step. His genuine passion for robotics really stands out, but what makes him particularly special is his willingness to share that knowledge with others. From competing internationally to mentoring younger students and supporting his peers at OIC, he has consistently turned his passion into something meaningful.
Dr Kirsten Dickers
Director of University Admissions and Careers

Many of our early UCAS applicants (including students applying to Oxford, Cambridge, Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science) are now putting the finishing touches to their applications, supported by our University Admissions & Careers team.

And today, our first UCAS application of the year was submitted!

Ken is applying for Engineering programmes, with a particular interest in Robotics, Mechatronics and Electronic & Electrical Engineering, interests he has been developing for several years.

He has represented Thailand in an international robotics competition and coaches younger students in robotics in his spare time. At OIC, he is continuing to develop his expertise through our Robotics elective, where he is sharing his experience with fellow students as they begin designing their own robot.

Last year, Ken also explored the potential of humanoid robots in the hospitality industry for his EPQ, achieving an A* for his research.

It’s a great example of how our students build on their academic interests over time - developing the knowledge, experiences and wider portfolio that can support their next steps towards university.

Congratulations on reaching this milestone, Ken and good luck to all our Year 13 students preparing their applications!
