Ben is a highly experienced senior leader and educator. Passionate about geography since childhood, he has lived and worked in diverse settings across the UK, Colombia, Cambodia, Brazil and Peru, making him particularly attuned to the importance of intercultural competencies.
Prior to joining OIC in 2024, Ben held leadership roles at fellow Nord Anglia Education schools, serving as Head of Secondary at Northbridge International School Cambodia and later at The British College of Brazil. He has also taught in the UK and in Peru, where he was Headmaster at Cambridge College Lima.
With ample experience in international education, Ben is a firm believer in nurturing both academic and personal growth in students, ensuring they develop the skills to navigate the world with confidence.
In addition to his teaching and leadership responsibilities, Ben assists the Supercurricular Department at OIC, which connects students with career-centred activities and enrichment.
Ben holds a BSc in Human Geography from Brunel University, an MA in European Studies from the Catholic University of Leuven and a PGCE (Secondary – Geography) from the University of Exeter.
In his spare time, Ben enjoys staying active by walking and working out regularly. He is the proud owner of Mr Fox, a dog who he rescued from the street as a puppy at only a few weeks old.
To encourage his students to embrace lifelong learning, Ben’s advice is, “Do what interests you – and enjoy!"
