With over 16 years of teaching experience in Hong Kong, including senior leadership roles, Huen Lai Chan brings both depth of expertise and a passion for inspiring students in mathematics. Huen joined OIC in 2021 after relocating to the UK and has quickly become a valued member of the Maths faculty.
Huen holds a BSc and MPhil in Mathematics from the University of Hong Kong and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. And has also published research on C∞-Invariants on the Space of Loops in the Bulletin of the Southeast Asian Mathematical Society.
What drives her most is sharing the beauty of mathematics and helping students discover the logic and elegance behind the subject. Valuing the opportunity to witness their growth and confidence as learners.
Outside the classroom, Huen enjoys playing volleyball and lives by the motto: “Try your best and no regret.” His students describe Huen as passionate, caring, and committed to their success.
