Mikhail joined OIC in 2014, bringing a wealth of international experience and a passion for inspiring curiosity. He completed his PhD in Physics at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (in collaboration with MIT), focusing on low-density relativistic plasma, before moving into education.
His interest in Physics and Mathematics began early, inspired by his engineer father and a fascination with asking why things work the way they do. Before joining OIC, Mikhail combined his academic background with work abroad, including a business degree in France, where he enjoyed bridging cultures and perspectives.
At OIC, he values the chance to work with ambitious international students, drawing on his own global experiences to connect and motivate. Known for his dad jokes, approachable style, and genuine care for students, he helps learners gain confidence, explore ideas without fear of judgment, and find joy in discovery.
Outside the classroom, Mikhail enjoys water polo, swimming, and running with his two dogs. He believes in the importance of balance, encouraging students not to focus only on the next stage but to also appreciate the present: Learn to enjoy the now every day has value.
