Vijay brings a scientific background and contagious enthusiasm for understanding the “how”s and “why”s of the universe. For as long as he can remember, Vijay has been fascinated by the big questions. An inspiring teacher ignited his lifelong passion for physics – a gift that Vijay continues to pass on to his students today.
Specialising in physics was the perfect match for Vijay’s analytical mind. While at university, Vijay also served as a volunteer teacher, enabling him to discover the rewarding experience of helping and inspiring others.
Prior to joining OIC in 2021, Vijay taught physics at various state and independent schools in the UK while also setting up his own tutoring school. As a teacher, he blends classroom education with a one-to-one tailored approach, making sure that physics concepts become relevant, engaging and accessible to different learners.
Committed to supporting students in learning about cutting-edge science and technology, Vijay also serves as the STEAM Lead at OIC.
Vijay holds a BSc in Physics from the University of Warwick and a PGCE (Secondary – Physics with Mathematics) from the University of the West of England.
In his spare time, Vijay enjoys stargazing, exploring the world of baking and taking scenic hikes to admire the beauty of the natural world.
For Vijay, curiosity is the foundation of discovery. His advice to students is, “Get comfortable with the feeling of challenge, and learning will always be an exciting adventure.”
