Oxbridge Day 2021
One of the many advantages of being based in Oxford is that students have closer access to the prestigious institution, the University of Oxford. On Tuesday 28th September 2021, our Year 12 Careers Programme was kicked off with a valuable day of experiencing two top universities, Oxford and Cambridge, in one go. As a result, we named this pioneering event ‘Oxbridge Day’, which took place at the University of Oxford. Unlike any other schools that only concentrate on the top 1% of students, everyone has equal opportunities and the same level of preparation and skillsets trained to apply for the leading global universities. Therefore, whether or not they intend to apply to Oxbridge, we encourage every Year 12 student to participate in this Day since the skills and experiences obtained from the Day will serve them well in learning how to submit high-quality applications in the not-so-distant future confidently. In addition to this, our bonds with these two top universities strengthened through this meaningful Day.

On our first Oxbridge Day, we were honoured to have Sarah Hales, a representative from the University of Cambridge, speak to our Year 12 students on formulating a winning application strategy to a top university. She shared several crucial topics, including the importance of having a decent personal statement and choosing the appropriate Supercurricular activities in terms of applying to university, from the perspective of the University of Cambridge. Students, who look outstandingly brilliant in their business attire, learned some of the lesser-known facts about the two universities through an interactive session between these talks.

On Oxbridge Day 2021, as its name suggests, our Year 12 students enjoyed a typical lunch that the students at the University of Oxford have and a tour of a nearby college of the University of Oxford.
