Huge congratulations to our Year 12 and 13 mathematicians who sat the UK Maths Trust Senior Mathematical Challenge last week.
The Senior Challenge is a 90 minute, 25 multiple choice question first round Challenge aimed at students Year 13 or below. The problems on the Senior Maths Challenge are designed to make students think, stimulating problems for both beginners and experienced problem-solvers.
We are delighted to share some brilliant results from the paper:
75 GOLD
78 SILVER
82 BRONZE
With 15 participants qualifying for the prestigious British Mathematical Olympiad follow on round, where application is by invitation only based on a qualifying SMC score, or by discretionary entry . This 3.5 hour Challenge consists of 6 Olympiad style questions.
Around only 1000 students qualify from the SMC each year.
