From Debate to Diplomacy: OIC Students Conquer Oxford MUN

From Debate to Diplomacy: Our Students Conquer Oxford MUN - MUN Oxford
Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders
This week, our students proudly represented our school at the prestigious Oxford Model United Nations (MUN) competition. This annual event provides an unparalleled platform for young leaders to develop critical skills such as public speaking, negotiation, and diplomacy, while engaging with pressing global issues alongside peers from around the world.

We are delighted to share that Hoi Lam (Kylie Ho) and Ana Oluwo were recognized as Outstanding Delegates for their exceptional performance. Their dedication, deep understanding of international topics, and ability to effectively represent their assigned countries truly distinguished them in a competitive field.

In addition to these incredible achievements, our students had the unique opportunity to connect and collaborate with delegates from various countries, including Greece and Canada. Such experiences not only broaden their global perspectives but also help them build valuable international networks.

A special mention goes to Vanessa Kan, the president of our MUN club, whose visionary leadership and commitment have been instrumental in guiding our students. Her tireless efforts in organizing sessions, mentoring participants, and fostering a supportive environment prepared the team to excel at this high-level competition.

Why MUN Matters

Participating in MUN enhances more than academic résumés—it empowers students to think critically about global issues, communicate effectively, and develop empathy as global citizens. These are skills that will serve them well in all future endeavors.

We congratulate Kylie, Ana, and all our participants for their hard work, passion, and success in representing our school. Your achievements inspire us, and we couldn’t be prouder!

Let’s continue to aim high and make a difference in the world.
