From laboratories to law firms, OIC students spent this half term stepping into the world of innovation and enterprise through Study Mind Industry Day Trips.
These experiences gave students a front-row view of how their subjects shape real industries — from physics in engineering design to economics in financial decision-making and law in corporate governance.
Our budding law students enjoyed a busy day in London visiting the Royal Courts of Justice and Old Bailey, and our banking, business and economic Year 12 students enjoyed an exclusive tour of Lloyds of London.
Students spoke with professionals, explored workplaces, and saw how the knowledge they build at OIC directly translates into impactful, real-world roles.
The trips encouraged reflection as well as aspiration. Whether discussing AI ethics, financial modelling, or medical technology, every conversation sparked new ideas — and reminded students that their future careers start with the skills and passion they develop today.
