OIC Research Spotlight

We’re thrilled to congratulate Lola Zhang, whose paper “Religious Beliefs and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder: Exploring Mutual Influences and Potential Roles in Symptom Development” has been accepted for presentation at the 4th International Conference on Interdisciplinary Humanities and Communication Studies (ICIHCS 2025).

This achievement reflects Lola’s dedication to exploring complex intersections between psychology, religion, and culture. Her work examines how belief systems and mental health can interact in meaningful, sometimes unexpected ways—an inquiry that speaks to real-world experiences and global conversations.

Lola’s success also exemplifies Oxford International College’s commitment to nurturing global thinkers and pioneering researchers who aren’t afraid to tackle challenging questions with depth and originality. We’re proud to see her representing OIC on an international academic stage.
