OIC students visited Wolfson College to hear Dr Chenying Liu speak on origami-informed robotics. The lecture opened a window into cutting-edge Oxford research and sparked new interdisciplinary curiosity.
Our students recently visited Wolfson College, University of Oxford, to attend a guest lecture by Dr Chenying Liu. During the session, students explored Dr Liu’s exciting work in origami-informed robotics — an emerging field that uses principles of folding to design smarter, more adaptable robotic structures.
The visit offered a brilliant opportunity to broaden academic horizons and engage directly with cutting-edge research within the Oxford community. Hearing from a leading researcher and seeing how interdisciplinary ideas move from concept to application gave students fresh insight into what modern innovation looks like at university level.
