Oxford International College Model United Nations students took part in a regional “mini world politics” simulation, developing diplomacy, critical thinking, and global awareness.
“Taking part in the MUN simulation really pushed me to think on my feet and see global issues from different perspectives. It felt like a real diplomatic experience and showed me how important collaboration and communication are in solving world problems.”
OIC Students Take on Global Challenges at Model United Nations Simulation
At Oxford International College, we empower students to think critically, lead with confidence, and develop a strong global outlook. This week, our Model United Nations (MUN) students put these skills into practice by joining peers from across the region for a dynamic “mini world politics” simulation.
During the event, students stepped into the roles of international diplomats, debating pressing global issues, negotiating resolutions, and working collaboratively to propose meaningful solutions. The simulation provided an immersive, real-world learning experience that challenged students to apply research, public speaking, diplomacy, and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced and engaging environment.
Through thoughtful debate and respectful dialogue, OIC students demonstrated ambition, curiosity, and maturity, confidently contributing to discussions on complex international topics. The experience reflected the values at the heart of an OIC education — academic rigour combined with global awareness and leadership development.
Opportunities such as Model United Nations play a key role in preparing students for future success, equipping them with the skills needed to thrive in higher education and beyond. We are proud of our students for representing Oxford International College so positively and embracing the challenge of global engagement.
