Bronze Award at Cambridge Chemistry Competition

We are incredibly proud of our Year 12 students — Isaac, Clayton, Hollis, Yeva and Chloe, who performed superbly in the prestigious Chemistry Race at the University of Cambridge.
Competing against 59 teams at the prestigious Cambridge Chemistry Department, our students secured a tightly contested Bronze award –only 2 points away from gaining Silver! An outstanding accomplishment on its own, but made even more impressive as this competition is usually open to Year 13 students and our team was made up entirely of chemistry students from our Year 12 cohort.
The Chemistry Race challenges students to apply advanced chemical knowledge, analytical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving under pressure - skills that reflect the very heart of OIC’s academic philosophy.
Congratulations to all who took part, and to the OIC Chemistry department for supporting our students to experience these incredible opportunities.
