Oxford International College (OIC), is proud to unveil its newly refurbished dining hall. A vibrant, modern space designed to enhance student life and strengthen the College’s global community.
This £150,000 investment represents a significant upgrade to one of the College’s central facilities. Delivered on time and within budget, the project highlights OIC’s continued commitment to providing outstanding learning and living environments for its students.
The refurbishment was envisaged by Principal, Dr Sarah Watson and led by Operations Manager Paul Dewbers, with a strong emphasis on collaboration. Staff, students and external partners contributed to the vision, ensuring the final design reflects the needs of a diverse, high-achieving student body.
More than simply a place to eat, the new dining hall has been carefully designed to support student wellbeing, connection and a sense of belonging. As a boarding school with a highly international community, OIC recognises the importance of shared spaces where students can come together outside the classroom.
The dining hall now serves as a central hub of daily life at the College — a place where students from across the world share meals, experience different cultures, and build lasting friendships. The design encourages interaction, comfort and inclusivity, reinforcing the College’s ethos of community and collaboration.
Feedback from students and staff has been overwhelmingly positive. Students have described the space as “modern and welcoming” and “a place that feels like a place to connect,” while staff have noted the impact of the improved environment on student engagement and community cohesion.
This latest investment builds on the success of OIC’s Innovation Lab installations, further demonstrating the College’s focus on placing students at the heart of its vision.
