OIC Launches New Partnership with Oxford Food Hub

We are therefore delighted to announce the launch of our first local partnership with the Oxford Food Hub, marking an exciting new chapter in our community engagement initiatives.

This collaboration, developed in partnership with our catering team, reflects a shared commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. The Oxford Food Hub plays a vital role in reducing food waste across the city while redistributing surplus food to charities supporting those in need—an ethos that strongly aligns with our own values.

This initiative has been spearheaded by our OIC Charities Lead, Jenny Bourlakis, whose vision and dedication have brought this partnership to life. Recognising the importance of both environmental impact and community support, Jenny identified the Oxford Food Hub as the perfect partner to help translate OIC’s values into meaningful action.

Through this partnership, we aim to:
•Support local charitable networks across Oxford via the Oxford food Hub
•Reduce food waste through responsible redistribution 
•Provide students with opportunities to engage in purposeful, community-driven initiatives 

This is just the beginning. We are excited about the opportunities this partnership will create for our students, staff and wider community to make a tangible difference in our local area.
