Fantastic A Level Results at Oxford International College

Year 13 students at Oxford International College are celebrating fantastic A Level results, marking the culmination of two years of hard work, ambition and determination.

This year, 12 OIC students achieved straight A* grades across all their subjects, while 56 students attained A*-A grades across all their qualifications, including the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). More than 90 students secured their place at their first-choice university, with graduates progressing to leading institutions in the UK and internationally.

Outstanding A Level Chemistry results

Chemistry continues to be a particular strength at Oxford International College, with 86% of students achieving A*-A grades. Many are now progressing to highly competitive university courses, including Medicine, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering and Dentistry.

Among them is Will, who achieved an exceptional set of A* grades in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and EPQ, securing his place at Imperial College London to study Biochemistry.

Will’s passion for the subject has been driven by a fascination with the molecular processes that underpin life and disease. Beyond the classroom, he has explored genetics, biotechnology and scientific innovation through independent research, laboratory experience and national competitions.

Strong Mathematics results at OIC

Mathematics is another area in which OIC students continue to excel. This year, 70% of students studying Mathematics and 70% studying Further Mathematics achieved A*-A grades.

Students will be joining universities including UCL, LSE and the University of Warwick to study Mathematics, while many others have secured places on highly competitive Engineering courses.

One of these students is Grace, who will study Chemical Engineering at Newcastle University. Grace joined OIC in Year 12 after previously studying in Abuja, Nigeria.
Witnessing the devastating impact of oil pollution in Nigeria’s Niger Delta inspired her to explore how science and engineering can work together to develop sustainable solutions that protect both people and the environment.

Supporting future doctors

Oxford International College has a strong track record of supporting students aspiring to study Medicine, and this year we are delighted to celebrate Chul (Joseph), who achieved three A* grades and has secured a place to study Medicine at the University of St Andrews.

Joseph’s ambition to become a doctor was inspired by witnessing the compassionate care his mother received during treatment for cardiac arrhythmia. The experience motivated him to pursue a career in which empathy and expertise go hand in hand.

Securing a place to study Medicine at St Andrews is an exceptional achievement, and we are delighted to have supported Joseph as he takes the next step towards his ambition of becoming a doctor.

Excellence across the humanities

While OIC is renowned for its strength in STEM subjects, our students also achieve outstanding results across the humanities.

This year, 100% of Geography grades were A*-A, alongside 70% of History grades at A*-A.

Students are progressing to leading universities including the University of Oxford, LSE and the University of Warwick, where they will study subjects including Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE), History, Politics, Psychology and Economics.

These results reflect OIC’s commitment to helping every student pursue an academic pathway aligned with their individual strengths, interests and ambitions.

Outstanding achievement across Nord Anglia Education

As part of Nord Anglia Education, Oxford International College continues to deliver exceptional academic outcomes, achieving the strongest A Level results across the group of more than 90 schools worldwide.

More than 50% of OIC students took four A Levels or more, while over a quarter of students achieved A* grades.

Behind these results is an enormous collective effort. We would like to thank our teachers and staff, including our dedicated University Support team, for the academic guidance, encouragement and individual support they have provided throughout our students’ time at OIC.

Reflecting on his experience, OIC student Aljami said:

I've met so many amazing people, made lifelong friends, and although my experience was sometimes difficult, I've come through it stronger and am now going to study at my dream university.”
