Leadership Update

Further to the news that Kim Terrar, Principal of Oxford International College (OIC), will be leaving the College at the end of June this year. Andrew Gillespie has been announced as Interim Principal at Oxford International College.

With a career in education spanning over 30 years, Andrew brings to Oxford International College (OIC) a wealth of educational knowledge, experience and a record of successful leadership, together with a passion for inspiring the brightest young minds. 

Andrew knows Oxford International College well, having previously helped to set up OIC Brighton as Executive Principal.  In this capacity, Andrew worked closely with Yasmin Sarwar, Chief Educational Officer, Kim Terrar, OIC College Principal, and other key members of staff. Andrew understands the College’s ethos and values, and its mission to create strategic pathways to success for every student, ensuring they achieve outstanding results and go on to thrive at the world’s best universities.

Before joining OIC, Andrew was Vice Principal at d'Overbroeck's, a leading coeducational day and boarding school in the UK for students aged 11 to 18. Andrew helped to shape the academic direction of the school, leading d’Overbroeck’s to rank consistently as one of the top schools in England for academic progress at A Level. 

Andrew is a school inspector in the UK and overseas, and an OFQUAL Subject Expert in Business and Economics. He is Chief Examiner in A level and AS level Business and International Business and Chair of Examiners for GCSE Business. He has authored many teacher training courses and textbooks for GCSE, A level and university students. Andrew has extensive international experience meeting students and educational consultants around the world.
