A Year of Defining Futures

From world-leading university offers and prestigious national awards to global opportunities, groundbreaking research and unforgettable experiences, the 2025–26 academic year has been one of Oxford International College's most successful yet.
As another academic year comes to a close, we are reflecting on a year filled with remarkable achievements, exciting opportunities and memories that will last a lifetime.
Throughout the year, our students continued to demonstrate exceptional ambition and determination, securing an outstanding number of offers from some of the world's most prestigious universities, including the University of Oxford, New York University (NYU), The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and many other leading institutions across the UK and internationally.
Beyond university success, our students earned recognition on both national and international stages. Serena was awarded the prestigious ISA Lexden Prize, recognising her exceptional leadership, service and impact beyond the classroom, while Charmaine received the highly competitive Kwok Scholarship. Several students also achieved the remarkable milestone of having their academic research professionally published, showcasing the depth of intellectual curiosity and innovation fostered at OIC.
This year also provided countless opportunities for students to expand their horizons through global experiences. Students represented the College at the Nord Anglia Education x UNICEF Student Summit in Houston, while others travelled to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), collaborating with students and educators from around the world to explore innovation, leadership and the future of education.
Learning continued far beyond the classroom. Students completed Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, visited universities, museums and local organisations, explored sustainable food production at Oxford City Farm, and took part in a wide range of academic workshops and enrichment activities designed to inspire curiosity and deepen their understanding of the world around them.
Our commitment to making a positive impact within the local community also continued to grow. Students strengthened partnerships with organisations including Endeavour Academy and Oxford Food Hub, volunteered their time to support others, performed for care home residents, and took part in initiatives that demonstrated compassion, leadership and social responsibility.
Life at OIC extended well beyond academic achievement. Throughout the year, our boarding community enjoyed an exciting programme of activities, celebrations and cultural events, creating lasting friendships through seasonal celebrations, themed evenings, dances, competitions and shared experiences that make boarding life so special.
This year also saw exciting developments across our campus. The opening of our new Dining Hall has created a vibrant space for students to come together, while the Innovation Lab is providing even greater opportunities for collaboration, creativity and hands-on learning as we continue to invest in the student experience.
We were also delighted to welcome many of our alumni back to OIC throughout the year. Sharing their experiences of university and life beyond the College, they continue to inspire current students and demonstrate the lifelong connections that remain long after graduation.
None of these achievements would have been possible without the dedication of our staff, the support of our families and, above all, the enthusiasm, resilience and kindness shown by our students every single day.
To our Year 13 students, thank you for everything you have contributed to our community. You leave OIC with achievements to be proud of, friendships to cherish and exciting futures ahead. We wish you every success as you begin your next chapter.
To our Year 11 and Year 12 students, thank you for another fantastic year. We hope you enjoy a well-deserved summer break, and we look forward to welcoming you back in September for another year of opportunities, challenges and success.
Thank you for being part of another unforgettable year at Oxford International College.
Have a wonderful summer.
