The challenge pushes students beyond the standard curriculum, encouraging deep conceptual thinking, problem-solving under pressure and creative application of physics principles. This year, more than 8,000 students from across the UK took part, with a national average score of 18.3 out of 40, highlighting the demanding nature of the competition.
OIC entered 32 students, achieving exceptional results:
These results reflect not only our students’ academic strength, but also their willingness to engage with challenging material and develop the independent thinking required for success in competitive STEM pathways.
We congratulate all students who took part in the Physics Senior Challenge Online and commend them for their ambition, perseverance and intellectual curiosity. Their achievements are a wonderful example of the high academic standards and enrichment opportunities at Oxford International College.
“We are very proud of the hard work our students have put into preparing for this challenging competition. Their results reflect both their commitment and their enthusiasm for physics,” said Philip Lowther, Head of Physics.
