Gold Success in National Chemistry Olympiad

Gold Success in National Chemistry Olympiad - Gold Success in National Chemistry Olympiad
Oxford International College students have achieved outstanding results in the Chemistry Olympiad, with 15 out of 16 entrants receiving an award.

The Chemistry Olympiad recognises exceptional scientific knowledge, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability, bringing together some of the highest-performing chemistry students nationally.
Among this year’s strongest performers were Sooah Lee and Flora Ho, who achieved the highest marks in the school and were awarded Gold Awards, placing them in the top 8.5% nationally.

The College also celebrates the achievements of its Year 12 students, with 40% receiving Silver Awards despite sitting the competition a year early — an exceptional accomplishment. Special recognition also goes to Paul for his support and guidance throughout the competition.

Overall, 50% of OIC entrants achieved either a Gold or Silver Award, significantly above the national figure of 34.2%.

These results reflect both the dedication of the students and the strength of Oxford International College’s academic culture. Through expert teaching, intellectual challenge, and personalised academic support, students are encouraged to develop confidence, resilience, and excellence across the sciences.
