Competing alongside runners from across the local community, Sofia completed the 10km course in an outstanding 58 minutes, while Amiran achieved a superb time of 1 hour and 2 minutes. Ariana also delivered an excellent performance, crossing the finish line in 1 hour and 13 minutes. All three students achieved personal bests and were delighted with their progress.
The Town & Gown 10km is one of Oxford’s most recognised community sporting events, bringing together participants of all ages and abilities in support of Muscular Dystrophy UK. Beyond the challenge of the race itself, the event offered students the opportunity to engage with the wider Oxford community while experiencing the value of perseverance, consistency, and personal growth.
At OIC, we believe that success is built not only in the classroom, but also through the habits of commitment, balance, and self-improvement developed beyond it. Sofia, Amiran, and Ariana’s achievements are a wonderful reflection of these values, and we are incredibly proud of their dedication and ambition.
