Happy Lunar New Year

This beautifully designed “Happy Chinese New Year” poster was created by one of our students to celebrate Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival. The poster explores themes of renewal, family unity, and hope for the future. It highlights important traditions such as cleaning homes to welcome good fortune, decorating with red lanterns, sharing reunion dinners, enjoying symbolic foods like dumplings and fish, giving red envelopes (hongbao), watching dragon and lion dances, celebrating with fireworks, and recognising the Chinese zodiac. Designed in a traditional red and gold style, the poster reflects both cultural heritage and student creativity, while promoting cultural awareness and exchange within the school community.
